The Class continuously learns the values and practice of basic technical theatre through creative learning engagements. It is composed of Grade 8 students Theatre Arts majors at the Philippine High School for the Arts, namely, Rechelle Balasoto, Dwyn Quejada, Abigail Ravalo, Avigail Sulibet, and Felicity Wenceslao. The Technical Theatre class is taught by Sir Sigmund Pecho.

Topic: Viewpoints and Mindfulness in Performance

Gian Carlo Navarro-A candidate of Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at Guang Ming College, Philippines. Scholar, Artist, Graphic Designer, Researcher. In 2016 he presented a research paper in Singapore entitled “With Dharma”: The Active Efforts of I.B.P.S Manila in Resolving Prejudice through Culture and Education and Propagation of the Dharma”. Meanwhile, the paper he will present today has been accepted in the 15th International Conference on The Arts in Society that will be held in Galway, Ireland next year.

Richard Ensomo Moscare is a Third Year, Theatre Arts Major student at Guang Ming College. Through his years, he has a lot of experiences in Theatre. He is the Head Stage Manager at the Dharma Theatre Ensemble, an official Theatre Company of the college. He is also the Lead voice (Bass) of Guang Ming Harmonies, an official chorale company of Guang Ming College. He has also done a lot of performances as a lead actor in many productions. Recently, he just had his performance in the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Pasinaya 2019, as a major character in Ralph Jade Tampal’s Faith. He played the character of Akmad. He is also a singer and musical actor as he played Tonton Julian in ”We Dance” adapted from one of the world’s best musicals, Once on this Island. He was the King Suddhodana in the Siddhartha the Musical play, Guang Ming College version and As Angel in RENT: The Musical. He also played various characters of William Shakespeare’s plays, King Oberon, Othello, Nick Bottom and Haring Lear translated by Nic Pichay from William Shakespeare’s King Lear. He was the Francisco (the servant) in Wanted: A Chaperon and Don Ramon in Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero’s Forsaken House that became his debut as a Theater actor. From these experiences, he learned the value of hard work, efficiency, and communication.
