Adapted from 1993 Italian-French-British drama film directed by Bernardo Bertolucci- Little Buddha was performed as a Shadow Play. Shadow play or shadow puppet theater is an ancient form of storytelling and entertainment originated in Central Asia-China or in India in the 1st millennium BCE (Chen, 2003). The Little Buddha was presented as part of Asian Mudras in Guang Ming College as partial fulfilment in the course Asian Theater. With the aim of developing a new way of theater presentation and integrating Buddhist perspective of arts in any way possible, the performance has transcended the message to the audience with the help of shadows, colors and candid voices in singing the Dharma showing simplicity, calmness and serenity.
